Cash, Charters, & Courts

Anthropic shows its cash flow, Anduril marks $90B, Kraken buys a bank, and Kalshi takes its fight national.

Anthropic showed investors $16.8B in quarterly revenue and positive cash flow. Anduril let employees sell at $90B. SpaceXAI shipped a voice model, a bundle, and a spectrum deal. Kraken is buying a European bank. Kalshi told Washington it is federal rules or offshore. ICON raised $200M from BlackRock and Baillie Gifford. Nvidia wants a bigger piece of Reflection AI. OpenAI got sued by eight states.

A lot to unpack this week.

Let's get into it.

🧠 Anthropic: Cash Flow Before the Roadshow

Anthropic hosted investors at its San Francisco offices on Wednesday and said Q3 revenue hit $16.8B and that it was cash flow positive. Per FT reporting carried by Yahoo Finance, that is a 45% jump from Q2, a second straight quarter of adjusted profitability, and $1.70 in revenue for every $1 spent on compute. Bloomberg's account via Quartz describes positive free cash flow and says IPO marketing could start as soon as the week of Nov. 9. The figures come from people familiar with the presentation, not a filing.

πŸš€ SpaceXAI: Voice, Bundles, & a Fourth Network

The AI arm, now branded SpaceXSI, released Grok Voice 3.0, scoring 86.9 on Artificial Analysis's speech-to-speech index versus 83.2 for OpenAI and 82.6 for Google, at $0.08 a minute. Starlink already runs about 20,000 customer calls a day on it. X Premium, Grok, and Cursor are now one X Subscription with five plans from free to $200 a month. On spectrum, SpaceX agreed to buy Grain Management's nationwide 800 MHz portfolio, reportedly for about $8B in cash, pending FCC approval. T-Mobile fell 13% at midday Friday, with AT&T and Verizon down 11% and 10%. In Ukraine, military Starshield terminals were capped at 100 miles per hour, and Musk said the US military decides those limits.

πŸ›‘οΈ Anduril: $90B, Employees First

Anduril opened an employee tender at $94.80 a share, valuing the company at about $90B. It is capped at about $1.3B, closes Nov. 9, and for the first time includes employees in 16 countries. Current and former employees can sell, and the price is up from the $61B mark on May's $5B round led by Thrive and a16z. No new primary. No IPO. Liquidity for the team, and a fresh mark for everyone else.

πŸ™ Kraken: Buying the Bank

Payward, Kraken's parent, agreed to acquire Lithuania's Saldo Bank, picking up an EU banking license to offer interest-bearing deposits, loans, card services, and euro payments. Per the FT, it would be the first crypto firm to buy a bank in Europe. Saldo had about €163M in assets and €136.9M in retail deposits. Price is undisclosed, and closing is expected in 2027 pending regulatory approval. Most crypto companies rent the banking stack. Kraken is buying one.

πŸ“Š Kalshi: Federal or Offshore

At DC Fintech Week, Tarek Mansour framed the fight as "a choice of whether prediction markets exist in the U.S. or whether they go offshore." Appeals courts have split, one major ruling for Kalshi and two for the states, and New Jersey has asked the Supreme Court to take the case. The CFTC issued a rule and proposed another to fold event contracts into the swaps definition. Abroad, a Taiwan court authorized blocking Kalshi and Coinbase over suspected election betting ahead of Nov. 28 local elections. The product works. The Supreme Court decides how big it gets.

πŸ—οΈ ICON: $200M From the Long-Only Crowd

ICON raised a $200M Series D co-led by Baillie Gifford and funds managed by BlackRock, with Norwest and Tiger Global among the participants. The company says it is on pace for 4x revenue growth in 2026, has built more than 270 homes and structures across five states and two countries, and its ICON Prime arm has been awarded more than $370M in government contracts. Bisnow, citing CNBC, puts total funding at $700M and the valuation at $1.4B.

πŸ”¦ Reflection AI: Nvidia Wants In Deeper

Nvidia is in early talks to deepen its investment in Reflection or acquire it, per the FT. One option is an acqui-hire, with Nvidia hiring the team and licensing the technology. Nvidia has already invested $800M, and a deal could come in the coming weeks or fall apart. CEO Misha Laskin said in April the company was raising at a $25B pre-money valuation. America's open-weight lab may end up inside its chip supplier. The neutral GPU vendor is getting less neutral.

πŸ€– OpenAI: Eight States & a Bugged Room

Eight states sued OpenAI on Wednesday, accusing it of deceiving parents about ChatGPT's safety. Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, and West Virginia each filed under state consumer protection laws, and Arkansas wants an injunction on developing models capable of recursive self-improvement until safeguards are in place. Separately, an OpenAI engineer was charged with planting a recording device in a company conference room. OpenAI says it used its own models to trace the device and has no indication model weights, source code, or customer data were taken. The lawsuits were always coming. Now they come in batches.

πŸ’³ Ramp: $60B, Reportedly

Ramp reportedly raised about $1.85B at roughly $60B, led by Dragoneer and Thrive with a large check from Founders Fund, per Bloomberg. FinTech Futures puts the $60B on a pre-money basis. That is up from $44B in June, when Ramp raised $750M. Ramp declined to comment. Corporate cards were supposed to be a commodity. Ramp keeps getting priced like software.

πŸš— Applied Intuition: Offers at $30B

Applied Intuition has fielded investment offers at a $30B valuation, per The Information, which could lead to a round of $1B or more in the coming months. That is double the $15B post-money from its $600M Series F in June 2025, and the company is pushing into military vehicles. Offers are not a term sheet. But the tooling layer under autonomy is getting priced like a platform.
