🤖 OpenAI: India Expansion, Personal Agents Push

OpenAI partnered with Pine Labs to integrate AI into the fintech's payments stack, automating settlement and invoicing workflows for 980,000+ merchants across 20 countries. Pine Labs becomes OpenAI's first payments partner for ChatGPT in India, processing transactions initiated through AI interfaces. Separately, Peter Steinberger, creator of viral AI agent OpenClaw, joined OpenAI to "drive the next generation of personal agents." Steinberger chose OpenAI over Meta and others, saying teaming up with OpenAI is "the fastest way to bring this to everyone." OpenClaw will continue as an open-source project with OpenAI support. If you are running your own instance of OpenClaw, we would love to hear from you. TechCrunch / TechCrunch

🐦 X: Crypto and Stock Trading in Weeks

X will launch cryptocurrency and stock trading within "a couple weeks," according to Head of Product Nikita Bier. The feature, called "Smart Cashtags," lets users click ticker symbols in posts to view financial data and execute trades directly from their timeline. An external limited beta is expected in 1-2 months, followed by global rollout to X's 600M users. X Money has secured money transmitter licenses in 40+ U.S. states and partners with Visa for fiat on-ramps. The move aligns with Musk's vision to turn X into an "everything app" comparable to WeChat. 🛡️ Anduril: $60B Valuation, UK Manufacturing Expansion

Anduril is in talks to raise up to $8B in a new funding round at a $60B+ valuation, doubling its $30.5B valuation from June of last year. The capital will finance Arsenal-1, a 5-million-square-foot manufacturing plant in Ohio, and autonomous fighter jet development. Simultaneously, Anduril UK partnered with AtkinsRéalis in an exclusive collaboration to provide safety, assurance, and regulatory expertise for uncrewed flight programs. AtkinsRéalis will support Anduril UK's establishment of a UK manufacturing site and navigate emerging approval processes for autonomous systems in defense. Reuters / UK Defense Journal

🧠 Anthropic: Sonnet 4.6 Launch, Figma Integration

Anthropic released Claude Sonnet 4.6 with a 1M token context window (double the previous Sonnet limit) and Opus-level performance at mid-tier pricing. The model is now the default for Free and Pro users. Separately, Anthropic partnered with Figma on "Code to Canvas," a feature that converts code generated in Claude Code into fully editable designs inside Figma. Developers can build UIs with Claude Code, capture the browser state, and paste directly into Figma as editable artifacts. Figma CEO Dylan Field said the feature reflects that agentic coding tools "made design more essential" rather than eliminating it. Anthropic / CNBC

Kraken: Backing Wyoming Newborns with Trump Accounts

Kraken announced it will sponsor Trump Accounts for every child born in Wyoming in 2026, making financial contributions to each account beyond the $1,000 federal seed. The move cements Kraken's Wyoming presence after establishing its global headquarters in the state. Wyoming leads in crypto-friendly policy, having chartered Kraken Financial as the nation's first Special Purpose Depository Institution and launching the Frontier Stable Token. Trump Accounts are tax-advantaged investment accounts for children born 2025-2028, with funds growing tax-deferred until age 18. Kraken Blog

👀 Watch List

📊 Databricks: $5.4B Revenue, $134B Valuation, IPO Signals

Databricks crossed $5.4B revenue run-rate with 65% YoY growth and closed $7B in new capital ($5B equity at $134B valuation + $2B debt). AI products now generate $1.4B annualized revenue. The company is accelerating Lakebase, its serverless Postgres database for AI agents, and Genie, its conversational AI assistant. Databricks surpassed Snowflake in size (Snowflake's market cap: $58B) and is challenging Oracle and SAP with Lakebase's wide release. CEO finally hinted at an IPO, likely one of the biggest if it happens this year. CNBC

🎲 Polymarket: NYC Free Grocery Store, Legal Battles Continue

Polymarket opened a free grocery store in Greenwich Village through Sunday, likely a marketing play amid growing mainstream attention. The company continues battling state regulators, with Massachusetts recently winning an injunction against rival Kalshi that temporarily banned sports-related contracts. Polymarket filed federal lawsuits arguing the CFTC has exclusive jurisdiction over derivatives and state gaming laws don't apply. Despite legal challenges, the platform returned to U.S. markets in July 2025 after acquiring QCEX for $112M. CNBC

🤖 Figure AI: Helix 02 Delivers Full-Body Autonomy

Figure launched Helix 02, its most capable humanoid model yet, featuring single neural system control of the full body directly from pixels. The breakthrough: Helix 02 autonomously unloaded and reloaded a dishwasher across a full kitchen in a four-minute, end-to-end task with no resets and no human intervention. When hands were occupied, the robot closed a drawer with its hip and lifted the dishwasher door with its foot. Figure believes this is the longest horizon, most complex autonomous task completed by a humanoid to date. CEO Brett Adcock: "2026 is the tipping point" for humanoid deployment. Figure

🔲 Cerebras: $1B at $23B, Powers OpenAI's First Non-Nvidia Model

Cerebras raised $1B at a $23B valuation, nearly 3x its $8.1B valuation from six months earlier. Tiger Global led with participation from Benchmark, Fidelity, Coatue, AMD, and others. OpenAI released GPT-5.3-Codex-Spark, its first major model running on Cerebras chips instead of Nvidia, part of a multi-year $10B+ partnership extending through 2028. The deal provides 750 megawatts of computing power for faster AI inference using Cerebras' Wafer Scale Engine (4 trillion transistors, 900,000 cores). Cerebras is targeting Q2 2026 for IPO.
